-the hearings are expected to last all week
2. What is the purpose of these hearings?
-to understand Kavanaugh's political ideas

-to vet the candidate
-the democratic party can make one last argument against him
3. Why are Democrats arguing that this judge may have a conflict of interest in the future?
-Kavanaugh thinks the president should be above the law. The whole Trump paying Russia thing to win the election would might have influenced why Trump chose him.
4. What do most people expect to be the result of these hearings? 
-Kavanaugh is expected to go through the hearings with ease
5. What did Brett Kavanaugh do before he was nominated to this post?
-he has sat on the DC Circuit court since 2006
6. Why do you think his role in the Clinton investigation is important to some people?
-it shows that he can and is willing to act against the president when the president breaks a law
7. Which of Kavanaugh's political opinions seem the most important to Democrats?
-he is pro life and xould possibly overturn Roe v. Wade
8. Other than Kavanaugh, who else will be questioned in these hearings?
-28 character witnesses 
9. What is the purpose of the Committee voting on Kavanaugh?
-the judiciary committee will decide whether or not to give Kavanaugh their support before the Senate’s process on deciding if Kavanuagh should be made judge
10. How many votes are required to confirm him?  Do Republicans have enough votes now?
11. What approach are Democrats taking before the Senate votes on his confirmation?
-Democrats are trying to make sure Kavanugh does not get elected. They are trying to protest and call as many congressmen as possible to sway the vote against him
